  1. The author of Palm Reader has created version 3.0 as a MAJOR update to
  2. version 2.0. It now requires EGA, DOS 3.2, and a hard disk. He has
  3. graciously allowed us to include the older version on this disk for
  4. people who don't have the necessary hardware. First we are going to tell
  5. you about setting up version 2.0, then we will cover 3.0.

  7. Pay attention and remember - we are professionals, don't try this at
  8. home.

  12. The Palm Reader version 2.0 has been provided on this disk in an
  13. archived form in order to save space and to keep the files together.  In
  14. order to retrieve the files:

  16. With a 2-floppy system:
  17.  
  18.   1) Put a blank (formatted) disk in the B: drive - See the reference
  19.      guide that came with your order for preparation information.
  20.  
  21.   2) At the A> prompt, issue the command  A> PKUNZIP PALMV2 B:
  22.  
  23.   That's it - the second disk really isn't necessary. Give it to a
  24.   friend along with a copy of this disk.

  27. With a hard disk system:

  29.   1) Prepare a subdirectory for the data  C> MD\PALM
  30.      (PALM is any name you wish -
  31.       or pick an existing subdirectory)

  33.   2) Go to that new subdirectory          C> CD\PALM
  34.  
  35.   3) Issue the command                    C> A:PKUNZIP A:PALMV2
